Have belt(s) checked to start with, as well as charging system output, as in alternator.

Extended cab Tahoe truck, 4.3l. Why is brake light on I/P dimly lit?

Possible brake fluid level warning sensor problem in the master cylinder. Disconnect the wiring harness from the sensor in the master cylinder. If the light goes out, suspect the sensor. If the light continues to illuminate dimly, suspect a short to power in the harness on that circuit. Further diagnostics will be required to locate the problem

Lights dim

Was any of the brake light bulbs changed recently, the wrong type of bulb may be used causing a short in the socket, and making the rest of the brake and signal circuit malfunction. I no bulbs were recently replaced, start with checking for corrosion in each bulb socket, signal and brake bulb sockets. Let us know what you find

My 03 kia rio automatic the brake pedal goes to the floor almost and dont wanna stop but the brakes are pretty new the brake light on the dash is remaining on as well

Either the brake lines need to be bled, or brake fluid is very low. Maybe on the last brake servicing, a leak developed. Are there signs of fluid loss, such a spot on the floor, or stained wheels?

I have the brake and battery warning lights on at the same time what is the problem since the car is running ok

battery light indicates alternator is not charging. It may run fine until the battery is dead, but then you'll be stranded wherever it dies. Recommend taking alternator to parts store for testing. Once alternator is fixed, brake light may go out. If not, check fluid level in reservoir. If it's low, you may have a leak. Get back to me if you need help getting alternator out or brakes fixed, etc.

The parking brake light is on and the parking

hi from uk if as you say the brake fluid level is slightly above min ? then this is most probably the reason the warning light is on this light is also linked to both park brake when on and a visual warning via a sensor on the reservoir that brake fluid is low top reservoir up ? light should/will go off however! fluid level drops for two reasons = 1 fluid leak on b/system 2 or in your case the fluid level has dropped by displacement from reservoir to brake calipers/cylinders as the brake pads and/or shoes wear down to minimum safe thickness ? and if your car has brake pads wear indicators fitted to pads these sensors will put light on SO may i suggest you check your brake pads/shoes ASAP because if pads/shoes are very low ? you may not only damage the more expensive disc/rotors but pads may/will burn up resulting in brake failure with obvious results ? hope you heed this advice? it is for your safety and other drivers best wishes

I have recently been gettin a STOP brake fault warning light and alarm on my 2003 vw passat tdi, not long had a service. it seems to come on when starting up, then periodically during the drive. havent...

I had this same problem back in November during a very cold spell.I had an appointment to have some "recall" work done on my 03 passat and told them about the STOP brake light. When I picked up my car, the dealer told me that it just needed some brake fluid??, so they filled it ! Well, I don't know about that, but I haven't seen that pesky STOP warning light since.
