Clicking Noise similar to turn signal

After I complete a turn or sometimes it just randomly happens. There is the clicking noise that you hear when you turn the turn signal on. The signal isnt actually on though.

It is to the right of the steering wheel a little. And it does it with the radio off, and when the radio is on with no volume it does it but the noise does not come through the speakers.

yeah I think you're right. I was playing around with it a little and if you just barely nudge it when it's off it will make the noise.

do you hear it in your speakers? Turn radio on, with no volume, just powered up, then step on the brakes(hear anything?), then use the turn signal both ways(left, then right), does it do it on both or just one side in particular(if you hear it with the radio on of course). if you hear the clicking sound, there may be a short in the system.

Do you have an opinion about the centering of the signal lever/and resultant switch? sometimes, as switches deteriorate, they do not actually fully turn off. If it is not turning fully off, meaning centering of the switch, sometimes an "exersizing" of the switch helps, back and forth, gently, but fully, easy at the stops, and think of centering....

Do you have a tilt steering column if you do you could have a pinched wire that is sending a false signal it maybe making contact with metal.

it could be in fact the turn signal sound since this is produced electronically by the cluster

pull the cluster and confirm its making the sound

2005 Ford Mustang GT -loud clicking noise in audio system

There is a possibility that the cellular phone is interfering with the audio system. Cell phones communicate on their own with cell hubs to change locations, or to receive mails. Try to place the celular in a different position, or to turn it off on a single trip to see if the clicking disappears.

Clicking noise from the blinker wont turn off!

There are 2 common things that cause this.
1. the hazzard flasher is faulty. the hazzard button and the turn signal flasher are all in one. Sometimes pushing the hazzard button in slightly will get the noise to happen, and is an indication it is faulty.
2. The turn signal switch in the steering column is bad. Turning the turn signal from left to right- very fast and harshly, will sometimes clear it up for awhile.
