sounds like you need an electrical specialist, which I admit I am not..most of my electrical is on older cars/trucks..these new coputer cars baffle me unless my dumb luck just hits right..good luck..

Wath is the code p2106 in the coputer in a 2006 ford 500

Replace all the Ignition Coils & the code will be gone

Forget the P2106--- no problem related to that code

Ignition coils are bad & spike the PCM (computer)
drivers ---eg:-- don't ground out correctly & you loose the
TPS Sensor signal,go into failsafe & get the P2106

Factory alarm problems

disconnect the baqttery negative with the key on.. then shut off the key and reconnect the battery.. then turn the key to the run position for a few seconds to reset the coputer.. see if that works.. if not check the battery to make sure its good.. alarms will sound if voltage is low..sould be at least 12.6 without the car running..

I disconnected and re-connected Battery on 1997 Deville northstar. Service engine soon light came on, will it go off in the 60 miles when computer resets?

If the check engine light comes on, then the coputer has detected a problem. Disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes will "reset' the computer. Howwever if the problem still exsists, the light will come back on. It could be a simple as a loose gas cap or something more complex. The only way to determine what the problem is, is to retrieve the code(s). You will need an OBD II code reader. In some states your local auto parts store will do this for you.

On my 1993 ford ranger i ran a self Diagnostic on it and came up with error code 512 which is Keep alive memory test failed. Could someone explain in detail thanks in advance

keep alive memory is required to save all the adjustments the coputer has made to compensate for engine wear/drive habbits/altitude/fuel system problems like vac leaks etc.
there is a base program in the read only memory that cant be erased by loosing power to computer this program is designed to start and run a brand new vehicle good enough to let it make its minor adjustments as it sees fit.sort of like an electronic fine tune.
that code you have means the coomputer is loosing its power supplie it needs to keep the random acces memory from being erased.
check the fuse ALL fuses some fuses feed other fuses they are not labeled as such on the fuse boxes.i would go for the cig lighter fuse first but like i said check them all.if no blown fuses then your gonna have to trace keep alive memory [or b+]wire from computer on back untill you find the broken wire etc.could even be a bad computer but i dought it

SES light (again!)

P0440 code is EVAP control system problem. This has to do with emissions from the carbon can, fuel tank and general leaks that come from fuel evaporation. Anywhere gas fumes can escape the systerm. This code is very common and can be caused by a simple fuel cap being loose or leaking. Check the fuel cap and reset the coputer. If the SES light comes back on there could be a problem with some of the systerm controls. ie vent valve, purge valveand canister. And /or vac leaks.

I got a 1999 Hyundai Elantra Station wagon 4 Cil. 2.0 and I got a coputer analisis with the troubleshooting P0442 and I willlike to know what it means, how I can to know what I have to do?

According to my book, it is a evap system small leak detected. Usually a loose or faulty gas cap. Is the car running good? Check your gas cap, erase the code and see if the code comes back. Good luck. Phil
