Question about 1992 Ford Ranger
92 Ford Ranger V6 4.0 Starts fine but dies as soon as the rpms go down. Out of the clear blue. Been taking it on 300 and 150 mi. round trips about twice a month since April. Anything to do with a dirty air filter, maybe?
If you took the filter out does it still die ? if it doesn't then replace it if its dirty you should replace it anyway a dirty air filter effects gas mileage as far as it dieing and if the filter wasn`t the problem then it could need a tune up. The timing chain may also be getting week
