Problem for Chevrolet 1991 C1500
Fuel pump constantly runs
fuel pump constantly runs, even when ignition switch is off. 1991 Chevy C1500. Put on new relay switch, but the pump is on, even with relay disconnected

- The fuel pump runs, whether the key is turned on or not. We had the ignition switch off of the steering column, on the floor, key on the kithcen table. Pulled the relay apart, still ran. Pulled the fuse located next to the relay, that stopped it, but cannot leave fuse out.....Solution #1

sounds like you haven't got the right relay or the replacement has failed. pull one relay at a time and go back to the rear of the vehicle and listen for the pump. make sure the key is on when you do the test.
