The chilton auto manual is the best thing to use if you are going to do it by yourself but if you do not now how to do it then it is best off to leave it to the professionals to do it... But you can usually see them if you jack up the front of the car and look behind the engine between the firewall and the engine...

Some cars just do that. Since we don't know what kind of car nor year, we really aren't going to be much help without a little more knowledge.

How to replace motor mount diagram

We're at home like you, no diagrams

You can see a couple of motor mounts and
a transaxle mount, by just looking.

Faster to have repair shop check & replace

The right tools & mostly a lift & experience, is needed
for that job

I have a 95 mercury sable 3.8 liter and when I drive for too long in warm weather, it leaks tranny fluid

This is an interesting one. Where is the transmission fluid leaking from? If it is coming out of the transmission where it meets the engine, then you are looking at replacing the front transmission seal, and to do this you will need to pull the transmission. If it is not leaking at this spot, then you are looking at a line leak, and will need to replace the bad line. There are going to be two lines for the transmission, make sure that yoyu inspect each one of them thoroughly/ They are the usual culprit when a transmission starts to leak.

How do you check the transmission fluid , this model has no dipstick

you will need to raise car level and engine warm, then remove plug at the front of trany near right side axle housing trany oil should run out if not then fill slowly until fluid runs out or drips out.heres a diagram to show you the check plug, you are looking at the trany from the pass/side lets say with engine removed you would be looking at the troque converter.a8465f7.gif

Engine mount replacement

There are two liquid filled and a trans mount. You need to found out which way the motor jumps if it jumps back to the fire wall I would change the two liquid fill. They are located looking at the engine on the pulley side left and right bolted to A-frame you can change one at a time. Unbolt one and jack motor with a floor jack and board just lift enough to drop it in and out. It's tough I know I did it before but it can be done. And do the same for the other. Trans mounted one never needs replaced. Just make sure the mounts are bad cause front wheel drive motors usally move but if its moving more than 2"-4" then replace them.

Transmission won't pull when hot on 1990 plymonth voyager

There is no diagram for doing this job; however; you need a motor support that goes across the top of the fenders to hold it in place while performing this task. disconnect the battery, first. To remove the trany, there is a matter of the electrical connections that go to the solenoid, which brings me to another point...the computer if it has never been updated; it needs to be at this point. Next, there are the trany lines, the axles, the bell housing bolts that need to be removed...the convertor bolts will need be removed from the flywheel. Upon installation of the converter, you must make sure that it clicks into place on the trany about twice or that it seats well before you try to install the trany. These are only a few things that need to be done. After, you are successfull with the task, there is the fluids, about 12 qts, there is the bleeding of the return line that should be done in a bucket while going through the gears and watching it to make sure that when it starts looking clean...your done with that task. Then there is the engine that will run like **** for a while after restart since that computer has to relearn. And then there is the relearn process that you will have to take the trany through that can be done by driving the van on a road with no traffic. The directions to that can be obtained through a transmission book, but when performing this task through each gear, you cannot be stopped by another vehicle until the last task is performed or it will need to be repeated...or by the way the trany will shift very harsh until this task is done right...still think you want to do this...go to a transmission shop and talk to an experience person to lead you through the steps...hope this helps.

Try to adjust the linkage cable on the transmission; if that don't work change the transmission fluid and filter.
