Theres a short in the circuit, trace the fuse circuit more often there is a line shorted to ground.it may also good to check the light bulb sockets to see if there is a shorted wire or contact.

I recently replaced the front rotors, brake pads and master cylinder in my 2003 Durango. I've since discovered that the brake lights are not working, including the 3rd brake light in the tailgate. I...

Hello, Well there is not much more it could be unless you have a shorted wire or a burned fuse. I would normally think that the turn signal canceler was bad but the 3rd brake light will still work if that is bad so I would check all fuses and for bare or shorted wires.

Break lights don't work, shift is locked out!

Since these are all electrical, I suggest you look at the fuses. I am sure you will find one burned out. I would guess that you replaced the bulb while the power was on, and that is not a good idea. It is easy to blow a fuse by doing that. If you put the bulb in wrong, it is possible it may keep blowing fuses as well. Make sure is it seated correctly, if this is the kind that rotate.

1998 pontiac transport/montana has not tail or break lights...turn signals blink fast or not at all. changed rear bulbs and noticed carbon on front build up on front bulbs. Help!

If one of the filaments in the bulbs is burned out, the remaining working lights will flash alot quicker.
Check the bulbs, and replace if the filaments are broken.
If the front bulb has a carbon build up it blown out...change it..
Once the bulbs are replaced your signals should work properly.

Left turn signal doesn't work, but the hazard flashers work. Bulbs have been replaced in the back and it stills doesn't work. Should I change the front bulbs out in order for them to work at all.

I had the same problem with my 97' accord. There is a fuse box by the break pedal, in that fuse box there is a fuse dedicated to turn signals. It is probably burned out. Once you change that you should be all set. Hope it works out.

did u check that they not burn?if not you should Check the wires going into the steering column if you don't have separate turn signal lights and brake lights because if they use the same bulb then the turn signal may be bad. If I remember correctly that particular car doesn't work this way, but I include it just in case.
