The top of the motor is the intake manifold. Not sure what you mean.

1999 Alero : Fuel leaking at a fitting where fuel line goes under intake manifold. Does manifold have to be removed to remove or tighten this fitting?

If so that is called the plenum gasket, or intake plenum gasket. There are available aftermarket, places like NAPA should have or be able to get them. It is a common gasket to replace because of the necessity to remove the plenum to do a tune-up. NAPA gets about $7 for the gasket.

I hav a 1996 cougar xr7. i can see water coming out at the top of the motor. someone told me that it is the intake manifold.


it is the intake manifold, actually called upper plenum the plastic crackes right behind the alt.autozone has one with aluminum water passages that wont do that.i bought one 3 years ago it was 266$ the dealer wanted 600$ for the same plastic one

Where is the Starter motor on the 2002 Lexus LX470


The starter for this car is located in whats called the valley of the engine. which is below the intake manifold. in order to get to starter u have to remove the intake manifold.

Parts needed:
Starter
intake manifold gasket (DO NOT REUSE OLD GASKET)
