When you pull it up does it still feel as though it is sliding smoothly up through the guides? This is one reason most motors won't raise the window. They have the help of gravity on the way down but going up they can tilt in the guides and jam. It's best to remove the inner door panel and see if you can detect any loose window to regulator, mounting bolts/nuts or a guide tha has either broken loose from its mount or bent out of the way. P.S. In the future, it's a very good idea never to close a car door with the window half up/down. Always close them first, if you can remember. Most of us don't...lol

There is a little clip that has fallen out. so the window is not really connected to the window reglulator it is a fairly easy fix at a shop. you would need to get the window pin that is what it is called about a 2 dollar part remove the inner door trim. then the metal cover behind that also you will need to push in the black plastic rivots that can be pushed in with a phillips screw driver hit it hard to push them in. unscrew the door lacth also you will need a t-20 torx bit to release the little cap next to your door handle release the black insert that is attactched to the door handle that releases the door latch. remove door seal (the black metal cover) pull back just enough so you can see the window clip that is the white clamp looking thing its where the window is held in at insert the window clip make sure that the open parts of the clip are opposite eachother push into window hole.It will be at the bottom of the window. make sure the clip straiht up meaning the little slits are straight up and down not pointing toward the front or rear of the car. then reinstall the metal cover with a few of the bolts. firmly but not to hard push window down into the clamp portion of the window regulator till you hear a loud snap make sure the window now goes up in down with switch. then reasemble all back together. thats it good luck hope that helps.

Do the power door locks work for that door ? Does you vehicle have door courtesy lights , turn signals on the mirror ? If your vehicle has these other options an they work , you have power to the door . There is an electronic module inside the door ,called passenger door module ! where did you check for power at , the window switch ! These are computer controlled an you would only see a few volts when pushing the switch !

1995 Ford Taurus windows and locks not working

The windows and power locks are controlled through a central computer module called the Generic electronic module, you must have this module scanned by the dealer (or a well equipped shop with a Ford compatible scanner) to see what is wrong with the system.

How do u know if its d regulator or motor that goes out on a window. If d rear passenger on a 03 Audi a 4

If you can raise and lower the window by hand, then it's the regulator. 9 times out of 10 it will be the regulator. I have a 2003 A4 and both rear window regulators are broken.

The rear right-side passenger window goes down, but not back up. I can pull it up and it stays within an inch of the top.

The problem you describe is caused by a failed/broken window operator mechanism. The fix requires the window operator mechanism to be replaced. You can search on Audizine.com for a DIY thread describing replacement of the window operator, or have an independent Audi repair shop or the Audi Dealer replace the window operator mechanism. The parts cost about $150.

The motor on the passenger side is shorted and is now tripping the circuit breaker. Odds are, the back window motor is also bad. You have to take the panel off to check the motor. You can power it directly to verify it has failed.

If you have a multimeter you can go to the underside of the master panel in the drivers door and independently check the switches for voltage or with no power to the switch assembly check for continuity. Good place to start. If you get continuity to through the switch then you need to check power to the window actuators in the doors.
