That is battery power for the clock and memory for the radio.

It is NOT the ground and it doesn't belong there. Is the radio factory or aftermarket? If it's an aftermarket radio, it may be a "tap" for an off power wire to keep the clock current.

Yes, this is the pulse connector, it feeds the radio timed pulses of power in order that iyt may retain the correct time and your station choices.

1985 Chevy Astro...no power to radio...I checked the fuse in the fusebox as well as the inline fuse for the radio...can someone tell me what the ground wire looks like and where to ground it once I find...

Try an alternate ground wire for testing . Ground it to good ground on one end & then attach to body (metal) of radio & see if that works. You know you will have 2 or more power wires to that right? I constant & one switched at least.

1985 mazda glc, radio was removed at some point and left 3 wires hanging out, 2 red 1 yellow. if i attach the red to yellow the ignition buzzer and such will sound, car will start and run for about 7...

I believe the red are switched ignition wires and the yellow is a constant hot wire. Cap and tape them separate from each other and you shouldn't have a problem.
