Tahoe wont start, cranks tries to fire

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Has the fuel filter ever been changed? You can try banging on the bottom of the fuel tank with a blunt object ( hammer works ) while some one cranks the engine. If it starts suspect a bad fuel pump

My car will start but wont stay on

I suspect that your fuel system is faulty. Check for a clogged fuel filter, or if your fuel pump don't run at all, replace the "fuel pump relay". Sometimes your fuel pump will run, but be too weak to hold pressure, which will let your car idle somewhat, but be too weak to run the engine at speed or under load.

Car STILL will not crank after replacing fuel pump by reason of deduction and seems to not be getting gas to the engine & motor will turn over just wont start

Yes, if you hear the pump, the relay is ok. The filter should be replaced, or blown out clear, if you suspect it. A plugged filter will certainly keep the car from starting.

2005 cadillac escalade wont start

Check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail on the engine. If you have no fuel pressure, suspect a clogged fuel filter or faulty fuel pump.

Just died and wont start but put eather then it will start i told my friend if it is the emarcy fuel cut off switch

it is a fuel issue; fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines, injectors, etc.. You can check your fuses, if they are all good the I would disconnect the line that feeds into the back side of the fuel filter, if it is pumping fuel the I would hook it up and check the other side of the fuel filter and so on and so forth. You will find out where the fuel problem is and then replace or fix it. WD 40 will not knock the engine like starter fluid or ether does. Hope this helped Tim

Engine stalled and wont start again suspect feul problem did it before but started after struggeling for a hour or so ,now it fails to start at all engine turns and all electricals working could it be...

If you turn on the key, and hear the sound of the pump for a few sec then stop before turning the key to ignition position, then fuel pump is still working. However, you need some one hear the pump running while you starting the car. The pump is located below the rear seat on passenger side. If no sound heard while you start then there is a problem with the Fuel relay switch behind the battery and firewall. If there is sound from the pump then the car needs to have fuel delivery rate checked and fuel filter for possible replacement.

My 1996 astro quit while driving. have power, but wont fire.

Doubt its the filter you would have had some warning. Remove the air filter assembly from the throttle body unit and have someone try to start it while you watch the injector. There should be a fine mist of fuel spraying down to the throttle plate. If not then suspect the fuel pump. If there is fuel check for spark by removing a spark plug wire and inserting a screwdriver into the end of the wire and holding it near the engine, an inch or so. Have someone crank the engine over and check for spark. If none then suspect the ignition module inside the distributor, if it needs replacing also change out the rotor. Good luck and dont forget to rate.
