What size allen wrench would I need to take off the calipers on my 1990 Buick LeSabre front brakes

I use a set of allen type drivers on a 3/8 drive breaker bar or ratchet. Most parts stores sell a set of 5 or 6 sizes.

Change brake pads

For starters the front and rear us disk pads and it is not hard to do. On the front jack up the front and us jack stand for safety. After you take of the wheel remove the two bolts at the back of the brake caliper remove the caliper and then the old pads us a C- clamp with one of the old pads installed in the caliper then just us the c-clamp to push the cylinder all the way in until it will go no further install new pads put back on. But before you do the next side hit the brake to push the cylinder back out. Go to other side do the same thing. On a side not you only need to replace the rear brakes every other time you do the front. The front wear twice as fast as they do most of the stopping.

What tooks do you need to take off calipers

Two bolts hold the capliper solid in the caliper bracket that is fitted on the wheel hub. Just find the right size wrench for those two bolts (possibly 10 mm), remove them, and the caliper is free except for the brake hose leading to it. If removing completely from the car, remove the brake line at the union fitting, then unscrew it from the caliper.

What size Allen wrench for 2001 escape front caliper?

i just changed my front rotors and pads on my 2001 escape, 6 cylinder. everyone was wrong on the wrench sizes, including the idiots at my local ford dealer. to get the brake calipers off I needed a 7mm hex bit. to get the caliper bracket off I needed an 18mm socket, it was a very easy job but check your wrench sizes first, it seems that every year and model uses different sizes.

What tools are needed to change the brakes

if the front are rotors there are two bolts that need to be taken off first.
remove the caliper, then remove the two caliper bracket bolts and remove the rotor
replace the rotor and reinstall the caliper bracket.
pull the caliper sliders and lube them with brake grease.
reinstall caliper sliders and install new pads and caliper
refasten caliper to bracket and your done

if your doing rear disc brakes same as front
if brakes are drum type you will need rear drum brake tools to release the springs and to refasten
the new brake shoes

1991 buick century 3.3 l right rear locks up when brakes are applied hard how do i fix this and wher ecan i find a diagram for this

No Diagram. You either need brake work or have a blocked rubber hose or caliper,on the left side and all the braking is taking place on the right. Very old vehicle,so expect these issues.
