I cant remove the metal end and spline inside of my kia sedona

Try to get a pry bar or large screwdriver between the CV housing and the transmission case. A little force may be required, but you have to pop the housing out of the transmission. A c-clip in a groove on the splined shaft is holding the shaft in, and must be popped outward, for the housing and shaft to be removed.

1999 Dodge Durango 4x4 with bad transfer case?

from what you said, it sounds like the converter on the transmission may have broken, Since it's loosing oil, it shouldn't be difficult to determine which part is leaking.
Check the transmission and transfer case fluid. Whichever is low is the unit with the problem. To verify, re-fill it and put a pan under there and start it up and look. You mentioned the yoke and spline. If either have broken you need to determine why, then replace whatever is necessary. If the splined shaft that the yoke is attached to has broken then the transfer case will need to come apart as it is part of the larger internal assembly. (may be easier for you to just get a different unit from a scrapyard.)

Tried removing the front drive shaft from transfer case. It won't come off, could there be something holding it from inside the transfer case?

Unbolt it from the front diff and then pull it out of the front of the transfer case. There will be a small snap ring inside that will offer up resistance, but it does slide out with some help, use your pry bar between the shield and the t-case to "pop" the spline past the snap ring inside. the first one i did i was kinda leary of prying on this too, but it was what was required just pull on the front drive shaft with one hand, and pry behind the shield with the other it'll feel like it's not going anywhere, but watch out, it'll just "pop" and be out. Be careful!! Good Luck!

Where are the splines on a steering column

splines on any shaft are used where two parts are joined together ie: your steering wheel is joined to the shaft by way of a spline. (serrated part of shaft that matches serrated receiver hole). In some cases there is no spline, but a flat is added instead which serves the same purpose of keeping the shaft from turning without turning the shaft it is attached to.
Some lower shaft joints can be either splined or use a flat. Be aware that some splines have a "locator" spline which essentially one fat spline that aligns with a wide spline groove in the receiver hole.
Most splines have a locking collar on them or a cross bolt that helps keep them together, except for the steering wheel that uses a nut on the top of the shaft.
Confused yet? Hope not!!!
Good luck!

might want to make shure the shifter linkage arm is in gear. if the linkage is bent at all it will hold the trans inbetween gears not allowing the motor to spin the drive shaft
