Yes...the fluid which runs your automatic transmission is cooled through lines which run through yoour radiator. Depending on how hot the transmissin fluid got, it can break don it's vesosity and not flow correctly. Exchange the fluid ASAP and it's filter incase something has clogged it starving the transmission intrnal parts from lubercation durring operation causeing it to "slip".

No, this is not related. You just happen to lucky enough to have two problems at the same time. If the engine got to a point where is was glowing hot, it could transfer the heat to the cooling lines causing air bubbles in the fluid and henceforth a slipping tranny. However, your engine would seize solid forever given those circumstances.

Yes, anytime your car overheats you should do a filter and fluid change for your trans, there are cooler lines for your transmission in your radiator. When you overheat, you cook your trans fluid which will cause slipping. It can cause your trans to fail

2002 dodge neon is leaking antifreeze out of a pipe over the passenger side what is the cause

It's possible you've got a bad heater core. If when you turn on the heat or AC you are getting a mist on the inside of the windshield, it would confirm a leaking heater core.

My 2002 dodge neon is missing but i don't think it is the spark plugs, could it be it needs a new fuel filter? The engine light doesnt come on when it misses.

For some reason neons require Champion brand plugs, like the one's from the factory. Also check the plug wires. If it's also got a nasty oil leak on the driver's side the cam sensor is probablt the culprit, causing the misfire.

Transmission fluid in antifreeze resevoir?

The heat exchanger in the rad header on the bottom is shot. You need a new rad, flush the coolant, change the tranny oil and filter, clean out the resevoir.
