I have a 95 gmc sierra 2500 and im trying to put in my aftermarket rafio so i cut the stock harness out the square puece that goes in back of stock radio and now i cant figure out what wire is what i got...

I would suggest you spice the wires back to stock harness by male and female connections and tape over them with black tape then get a stereo install kit that includes a wiring harness ( cost about $20 maybe or less) for the year of truck you have... it will plug right to your stock harness ...never just cut stock stereo wires from stock plug it will be more of a headache than you think trust me I've installed all my own stereo system been there done that... good luck

How does radio hook up

The stock radio has two electrical plugs and the anneena wire plugs in and theirs a grond wire that goes on the back of the unit with a bolted connection. If you have an aftermarket radio you can get universal connectors at major dept stores that fit your car ( or auto parts stores) These connectors plug into the cars wire harness and the wires are labled to what they do and just connect the wires as marked on the sticker on the radio. If the radio is a factory radio that did'nt come in an Isuzu their commonly not marked and the wire pattern in the back of the radio has to be figured out.

I cant figure out how to hook up my new raido in my car can u help

The easiest way it to get a wiring adapter, any auto parts place or even walmart sells them in the automotive radio department. They plug into the factor harness connector, but you will still have to splice the adapter to the new radio harness, but the wires will be color coded the same at the new harness.

Im installing a radio in my 03 chevy avalanche and i cant figure out y it wont work

if you put it in with the wire harness that plugs into the trucks harness you have to make sure the amp turn on wire is connected from the radio to the harness if the amp isnt on you get no sound, if you didnt buy the harness and cut into the trucks wires you could have a problem, check all radio and amp fuses also

Want to change the Radio

You might want to go to an auto parts store and get one of those flexible mirrors, because the bolts to release it are on the back of the radio. I'm pretty sure they are 10mm head. The mirror and a flashlight will make them easier to locate. There will either be 2 or 4 it depends. Once you get them out you should be able to push from the back and it'll slide on out. As for which radio will fit, pretty much all of your radio shops can give you that info but it should be a single DIN size. Hope this helps.
