CAR JERKING AROUND 30,000 MILES

EVERYDAY that I drive my 2007 Hyundai Elantra, I feel my transmission jerking or struggling to switch gears. I get my car serviced every 3000 miles and I do whatever suggestions the mechanics at Jiffy Lube recommend. The manual states that my transmission fluid should be fine until 60,000. I need to know what is the cause of my transmission problems?

We have a 2007 Elantra company car with the same trouble jerking around 35-40. Went to dealer many times they said change Trans fluid it had 33k miles. Cost us $170. Did not fix it. Then they said it would need a new trans would not give back money for trans service. They put new trans in under warranty picked up car was still the same went back more times they said #3 spark plug was bad this I was told twice. I had had it with the dealer ship and demanded they find the trouble here it was a bad spark plug wire on #3 they replaced all the wires and #3 spark plug for the 3rd time and problem went a way. This dealer ship change a transmission for spark plug wirre i hope your dealership is better then this one

Check the fluid for the color and smell.if the color is dark or the smell is burnt, your tranny have internal problems, also early hyundais had a lot of problems with the transmisions, internal failure as well as the valve bodies goin bad,if the service was done and you still have the problem its likely that your transmision needs a better diagnostic,if you are under warranty then there should be no problem.

Started jerking when I take off after changing from first to second, third etc.

Master or slave cylinders. I would replace both. If the slave is inside the trans mission. Start with the master. The slave is a transmission pull.

there will be transmission fault codes so take it to an accredited transmission specialist shop for a proper diagnosis
could be a problem TCM or VSS sensor
the VSS sensor reports on road speed to the TCM and that sets when the ratio changes happen

not exactly, but you need to have the code read that making the fault display...Normally if the car starts jerking u have a tcm issue. This can be caused be several things, but first check the code and let me know what its saying,Does it drive any different?Make sure you get the ****** flused at 30-40k miles its about 300 bucks.Keep me posted

I have an 04 hyundai elantra and it jerks when i drive, i took it to the shop and no codes came up and no check engine light came up. My car needs a fuel pump could this be why the car jerking? And when...

I would check the transmission fluid. It may need changed and the filter changed. Perhaps you are not getting a good spark from your spark plugs or coils. Has it been awhile since you had a tune up?

Your transmission is slipping which can cause a huge amount of damage both to the car and your wallet. Take it in for service as soon as you can.

Hyundai Elantr 2002, automatic. When the car running, I sense changing gear (at ~30 mph) and there is jerking. Then the engine light comes on. Then the speed pickup is bad. suggest what could be wrong....

I had something similar happen. My check engine light never came on but i did experience the jerking between the 30 and 40 mph mark. Have your fuel injector checked to see if its dirty. Also have your fuel lines checked to see if you have water in it and have them check the transmission fluid. its possible you can be low. When I had the problem i did all 3 of these things. My car does not **** anymore. Also another problem could be your valve cover gasket.
