My 2004 venture will not shift it says check the fuses rock the van I cannot find a fuse on the panel for the transmission and rocking it does not work and the BTSI solenoid I have no idea where that is

Fuse panels can be located sround the pedal or steering column area or underneath your glove box and the BTSI solenoid should be inside the steering column.

I'm having a issue with my transmission on a 2004 venture, when it gets up to normal operating temperatures. Whwn the van shift from first to second and then from second to third, there tends be a clunk or...

The problem is probably a bad Electronic Pressure Solenoid (EPC). Have the computer scanned at a dealership or a transmission shop to verify this. The code will probably be a P1811. The P1811 code sets because the transmission takes longer than 0.65 seconds to shift, then the computer commands maximum line pressure to make the car shift as fast as possible to avoid burning the clutches. Replacing the EPC is an expensive job, however, you can install a shift kit to speed up the shifting, and probably fix the problem. The shift kit is available from a company called TransGo. If you go to www.transgo.com you can look up a distributor in your area. The kit you will need is the SK®4T65E. Installing the shift kit is pretty easy for the 'shade tree mechanic'; if you can change your own transmission fluid, you can most likely install this kit yourself.

99 chevrolet venture code p0742 what is this shifts hard sometimes and then it dont do it for a while

this is a shift solenoid code. The part is located in the transmission. Your going to have to pay the piper in order to get to the root cause. There is no other option.

Chevrolet venture problem P1811 maximum adapt and long shift

this code is a pressure control solenoid code, I have repaired this many times by removing the transmission sidecover and valve body, cleaning the valve body, and replacing solenoid. I like to change the filter and flush the trans when I perform this repair, of course if you can't do this you will need to take it to a professional
