Question about 2002 Jeep Liberty

Electrical short or computer? Horn, flashers, door locks

I was driving along and the horn started beeping, the flashers and turn signals started going off, the door locks clicked, the front wipers started and the rear window opened. The fuses for these items are all over the board so it can't just be a local short. I'm thinking it's either one of the electrical cartridges under the hood or the computer.

Any ideas?

Sounds more like a ground issue, there are several grounding blocks and points all over.

There is obviously a short somewhere in the line. Need to locate the "horn relay" it is probably bad. Now if it happens again, I would simple snip or unplug one wire from the horn itself. You can then get to where you going, hoping you don't need a horn then get it fixed!

On my 1999 Subaru Outback, the horn beeps after I lock using the keyless remote. The problem is intermittent - hard to tell when it is going to happen. It gives two short beeps (Beep......Beep) then

This is a tough one, it sounds like the alarm is arming itself when you lock the door, the alarm system is arming , there is a way i think to cancel out the horn chrip, the only other thing is the door lock is bad or the alarm module is going bad. Did the horn always chrip or beep before and do you know if the alarm works?

Where is the horn and power lock relay located on a 93 dodge dynasty?

They are in the relay bank which is located above the fuse block. The glove box assembly must be removed to gain access to the relay bank. This relay bank is square in shape and contains the horn relay, turn signal flasher, hazard warning flasher, and circuit breakers for the power windows and power door locks/headlamp doors.

Hope this helps.

1994 2.0 jetta flashers come on for no reason. when engine is running you turn the steering wheel and the horn beeps. turn on the wind shiel wipers and the horn beeps

have the multi function switch tested. you may have a bad ground in it (horn works by routing to ground which makes it a good source for a short.

My horn does not beep when I lock the doors no more , why?

The security module sends a signal to the horn when applying the lock button. The module is starting to go bad on you. I would replace it before you get stranded on the road for if totally bad the car will not start

The horn on my car (which is my car alarm) goes off on its own

There are relays in the cars security systym that may be sticking, they use elec. relays for everthing in there and they start going bad and it wont start, maybe you can run a new wire to the horn to bypass the computer.

2004 Olds Silhouette - electric door locks lock on their own

Most likely your alarm system needs reset. When you use the button to turn the alarm on and off the horn beeps and lights flash. Horn beep when switch turned on, makes sense would be in the alarm system with all you've told.

HORN WILL NOT SOUND BUT DOORS WILL LOCK WHEN I USE MY KEYLESS ENT

The title of you problem mentions the horn but the actual problem mentions the flashers? Which is it? You can turn the 'horn beep' feature on and off by simultaneously holding the lock and unlock buttons down on the remote for about 3 seconds or more. When the horn feature is turned on you will hear the horn, and when it turns off you will only see the lights flash.
