Most likely, the head gasket is blown.
Check the compression on all cylinders that you can reach.
Compare results. If 2 adjacent cylinders have low compression, then that's the head with the blown gasket.

Hope this helps!

No crank no start problems

What year and make is it? Your relay is usually drivers side under the hood. But, it could be under the dash. Its in a box similar to a fuse panel and may actually be in with fuses.are you getting any noise? Are other accessories like radio working?

Isuzu trooper won't start? What is the possible reason??

wow no year car stated... nor engine....
we cant answer those with out the below:
does engine crank robustly? , spinning the engine crank shaft fast?
that be first.
we cant guess that... ever.
starter silent,?
only clicks
if the engine does crank , then
1: check fuses first.
2; CEL lamp most glow keyon, if not ECU is dead. (fuses!)
3: cranks ok.,?
4: check spark next. got spark to all 4 to 6 cylinders? (yes, all must spark)
6: and 50 more possible failures or 1 to 10 tests. skipped,... now.

tell more get more...
the tests are easy.
what year car?
what engine is there,?
does the starter make noise, Y/n
if yes, does engine spin fast (watch front engine crank shaft pulley, it must spin or engine will never start)
if it cranks ok say so, and we check fuses and spark next. got spark? cranking?
on all cylinders?
tell more get more....

Starter and startic is working but the engine wont crank

if the starter spins fast, and cranks shaft is dead.
the starter is bad, or more exactly the pinion drive is dead.
but that is 99% the solenoid (starter bad)
replace or clean the solenoid drive,
make sure the pinion slides easy. there.

When I try to start the car it wont start but all the lights are . what wrong?

what lights. do tell> we cant guess which of 30 lamps blink.

the 95 , what engine, (size) and cylinder count./
we can not guess that either,

cranks but no start,
the jeeps will run for 3 seconds, and the die via the ASD relay LOGIC.
there are up to 6 ways for the PCM to cut the ASD, for just causes.
so do you get spark for the 3 seconds. cranking?
if not the ASD drops. (fuel/fire safety reasons)

if engine is ok, with full compression
it will run for at least 3 seconds, cranked,
if not there is no spark.
check spark, now, ever do a tune up this decade?
if spark is good, x6 or x8 cylinders than its either flooding or starving for fuel.
take out 1 spark plug, is it soaked in fuel
yes, put i back and crank engine wide open trottle
this is oper, guide, super secret unflood mode. (a feature on all cars)
starts now?
well its staving for fuel
try test fuel.? yet> (spray)
runs for 3sconds and stalls.
yes? then fuel is lost.
check fuel pressure for spec pressure.

i cant tell presssure due to NO ENGINE STATED.

92 v12 will not start

12 cylinder engines all seem to have the crank angle sensors fail.

The two sensors are located in the top of the bell housing and are visible just down in front of the firewall. Not too difficult to replace...just fiddly . Position of sensors is 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock on the bell housing.

I have a 1991 jeep yj - when I turn the key everything powers up as it is suppose to - but the engine does not crank ( I do not hear the strater clicking or anything) I thought it might be the ignition key...

i had one do the same thing, the wire ends at the starter were frayed and the starter had a drag in it, put new ends on starter and replaced the solinod and it worked fine, there is also a fuse that will stop the ignition from working , worth a look to see if its loose or bad contact.

When ignition switch is turned to start I get a small click but starter does not engage

If the starter or solenoid clicks but nothing else happens when you attempt to start the engine, there may not be enough amps to spin the starter. Or the starter may be bad. A poor battery cable, solenoid or ground connection, or high resistance in the solenoid itself may be the problem. A voltage check at the solenoid will reveal if battery voltage is passing through the ignition switch circuit. If the solenoid or relay is receiving battery voltage but is not closing or passing enough amps from the battery to spin the starter motor, the solenoid ground may be bad or the contacts in the solenoid may be worn, pitted or corroded. If the starter cranks when the solenoid is bypassed, a new solenoid is needed, not a starter.
Most engines need a cranking speed of 200 to 300 rpm to start, so if the starter is weak and can't crank the engine fast enough to build compression, the engine won't start. In some instances, a weak starter may crank the engine fast enough but prevent it from starting because it draws all the power from the battery and does not leave enough for the injectors or ignition system.

If the lights dim and there is little or no cranking when you attempt to start the engine, the starter may be locked up, dragging or suffering from high internal resistance, worn brushes, shorts or opens in the windings or armature. A starter current draw test will tell you if the starter is pulling too many amps.

A good starter will normally draw 60 to 150 amps with no load on it, and up to 200 amps or more while cranking the engine. The no load amp draw depends on the rating of the starter while the cranking amp draw depends on the displacement and compression of the engine. Always refer to the OEM specs for the exact amp values. Some "high torque" GM starters, for example, may have a no load draw of up to 250 amps. Toyota starters on four-cylinder engines typically draw 130 to 150 amps, and up to 175 amps on six-cylinder engines.

Hope this helps,Good luck!!

I just bought a 92 jeep cherokee ran beautiful . now it just sits there cant get it to start . battery was dead replaced still wont start . cant tell if its the ignition or the starter.

I'm assuming the starter is not turning the engine...check the small wire on the starter for 12v with key turned to start. If no voltage there, check ignition switch and neutral start switch. (voltage in, voltage out)
