Start by taking the blower motor out and inspecting the ducts to take apart the console here are the steps.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable after first disabling the Theftlock® feature of the radio, if equipped.
    1. Remove the console trim plate using the following procedure.
    1. Raise the armrest and remove the storage compartment and mat from the console base.
    2. Detach the electrical connectors from the driver's seat heater switch, if equipped
    3. Open the cup holder by pulling the cup holder door forward. Pull up on the trim plate starting with the rear two clips behind the cup holder, working forward. Remove the trim plate from the console.

    1. Remove the screws from the console mounting bracket at the rear of the storage compartment base and the rear of the transaxle shift lever.
    2. Pull the console rearward to release the console from the retainer in the lower instrument panel. Detach any remaining electrical connectors and remove the console from the vehicle.
    3. reverse the steps to assemble.
    4. the blower motor (locted under thedash panel on the passenger side) disconect the harness and unscrew the 3 1/4 screws.

Try setting a mouse trap up as it will become hungry and catch it but if a nest has been built you will indeed need to remove it .to prevent further issues .sometimes they are sheet metal screws others are riveted in but it should be a fairly easy job also the aid of a mirror and a flashlight will allow you to view that which you cannot see in some areas

    2004 aztec shifter bulb

the bulb is Probably burnt out you will need to take apart the top part of the center counsel first by taking out the cups in the cup holders then the bottom cup holder will have a screw in it you will need to remove this screw and then pop up the rest of the counsel it should come fairly easy after you have removed that piece next you will need to remove the cover with all of the letters on it (this is held on by clips) you should be able to again get it very easy. after removing all of that you will see the bulb.replace the bulb and go back through the steps to assemble and you are all done

How do i change the heater core

Actually extremely easy as it comes to modern day heater cores. Auto shops will tell you it calls for over 7 hours of labor and will cost you hundreds read on and i will show you how to do it yourself if you are at least slightly vehicle savvy.

First and foremost drain your engine coolant, raise the vehicle and support on jackstands. disconnect both heater hoses from the heater core (between the rear of transmission and subframe) and the 2 10mm bolts that both through to the heater box inside. this is all that is required under the car. Next go back inside the car and remove both left and right sound insulators (black covers under your feet) and remove the center counsel where the shifter is. you will find 4 bolts in the center counsel as well as a horseshoe clip that must be removed to lift the shifter off with the console. next you will find 2 7mm bolts holding the floor heat vent to the heater core cover remove them and the floor vent. Then there are several 5.5mm bolts holding the heater core cover to the air box. remove all gold 5.5 mm bolts and you should be able to pry down on the box and jiggle it a little and WHALAA there is your heater core! Next there are 2 straps holding the core that are also 5.5 mm bolts remove those and the core it does take a little wiggling around but comes out fairly easy. this job litteraly would take even a novice at most probably 2 hours maybe 3. Hope this helps you all !

No heater controls no blower or ac fuses good 89 jaguar xj6

My 93 xj6 doesn't blow or anything but I found that if I kick the blower under the string wheel. It comes on. Then it's blowing cold on the dash and hot out the center counsel. Where do I kick to fix that? There are buttons that light up by the steering wheel. That look like the seat heater button. Is there a way to choose to make the thing blow cold in front and hot in back? 989-657-2563

    Replace heater core?where is it?

Ouch. In order to replace the heater core in a Grand Prix, you have to remove the entire center counsel and in many years the entire dash assembly. The heater core itself is located in a black plastic box, in the center of the vehicle under the dash. Its not an easy task to complete, however at least it is somewhat easy access to disconnect the lines coming through the firewall in the engine compartment(hint). Good luck and I hope this helps.

    Ac problem

I just fixed mine. same problem, no ac light no fan. inside the heater control assembly there is a electric wiper arm on the fan switch. This arm connects all power for fan and ac. Mine broke out of the fan control switch. Dash is not too much problem to get out. Have to pull top dash center section out by puching forward and lifting out. pull all screws on center dash counsel. remove radio, two side covers that hide screwsand lower trim that holds emergency flasher switch. remove cables from heater control and wires and remove. Took me about an hour. The code on radio will need to be reset so make sure you have that handy. Hope this helps..

Heater blows cold air and has a clicking noise

i have had this problem. behind the radio is a control box that actuates a damper door. in mine the gear was damaged. you need to pull the center counsel out. first remove the radio(special tool and care needed for this). The replacement was about 20 to 30 dollars cant remember the actual cost. the trick is getting the radio out. its was very easy to do myself. good luck
