Directionals are not working - 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis

    what does it do? do the dash turn kight up and not flash? do the outside turns light but no flash? could be a turn signal flasher,or a couple bulbs? bad socket or ground. sometimes there are 2 flashers 1 for the hazards 1 for the turn signals. i habve come across it where the hazrda are on but the flasher for hazards is out or where the hazard button is stuck,do your hazards work?

Directionals will not blonk when brakes are


Your hazzard switch is possibly the cause but may also be the flasher unit. I hope this helps.

Rear directionals


Check the 4 way relay operation should be located under kick panel on the drivers side. swap with a known good relay and recheck.

2000 ford windstar, directionals both not working, hazards work f


turn signal flasher module or turn signal switch. I usuall try to wiggle teh column switch or move it slowly up and down, back and forth to help determine if it has a bad contact. if i cant get a failure (or turn signal) that way I begin the testing at the base of the column. the flasher module is a common failure on those and isnt unreasonably priced. if i had no diagnostic procedure i would try that first. oh yea, try turning the hazards on and off rapidly several times. the signal goes through the four way switch.
