Bmw 5 series dispaly and cd not working son put coins in cd player

I'm afraid the coins did cause a shortage in the CD player, knocking out the player. A tech should replace it, when you still want to play disks. I hope your son did learn something, because it won't be cheap in a BMW to replace the CD player.

My son put coins in the DVD part of our 2007 LT Suburban. I got them all out but now it just keeps saying ejecting and running and there is nothing in it. What can I do? Here is an example of the system...

The coins may have damaged the ejection mechanism in such a way that the entire unit will have to be replaced. Also, something other than coins could be causing the trouble.

My dvd is broken, i think my son put another dvd while another one is inside... can you help

You will have to disasemble DVD player to retrieve DVD discs. On some players there maybe a small hole on front or side to dislodge discs. Put a wooden or plastic pin in hole to release discs.
Good luck.

My son put coins in my cd player now my power train componets dont work , my air bags etc are not working i was told it was a fuseable link some componet that plugs into the fuse box under the dash...

dont think this would cause this problem here but without a good look myself i couldnt say exactly what the problem is ,i would advise you ask a local mechanic to have a good look for you and if need be reply to this post after the mechanic has a look and then i can have a better idea and answer if i think the diagnosis is correct

Buy this
, it's very cheap, and follow it to the letter to remove the cd player. With the cd player out just remove its casing and take out the pennies.

How do I remove coin stuck in my jaguar xtype cd player

The only safe way to remove the coins is to remove the cd player from the dash and then gently shake the coins out. That said, you can take the car to any audio shop and have them do it for you or if you are so inclined you can do it yourself. Just be sure to disconnect the battery and also be sure that you have the correct code for the anti-theft mechanism.

Here is a link that will give you the flavor of all of the steps involved if you should choose to do this yourself

A coin is inside cd player of 2001 Camry, doesn't play

Only thing I can think of other than pulling it out of dash & trying to get it out upside down would be to tear one of those flat magnets of the back of those calenders or whatever you have or can get for a $1 or $2, that stick on your fridge etc. Worth a shot, if not, get back to us & hopefully we can find instructions for you to take player out & back in without too much trouble.

DVD player won't eject dvds

I am not a pro...did this process early today.
1.Remove 5 screws from bottom center dash. This peice has the cubby with change slots. There are 2 on the left side, 2 in front and 1 on the right. Pull out of the way.
2.Pull cup holder all the way out and depress tab on the very back of the top. Slide out and remove.
3.Pry small peice of plastic out of the way carefully with screwdriver. Remove.
4.Revove 2 screws that where hidden by this small part. Begin prying the dvd and radio surround off from the bottom, there are no more screws. Either let dangle to the side or unplug and revome from car.
5.Remove 2 screws to release dvd player. Unplug 2 seperate connections and remove. If you have change in it, shake upside down a little while slightly depressing the top to give room for $ to fall out. For 2 dvd just work out carefully while trying to line up the dvd with the opening.
Hope this helps someone! Kris
