The problem is in the Anti-theft system on the car not registering the security key. You will have to take it to the dealer to get them to fix it.

Wat no bus mean

Hi Elizabeth, the "No Bus Message" means you have a sensor or something else bringing down the BUS on your vehicle and sometimes when this happens on certain vehicles it want allow the vehicle to start and run. Then only way to figure out what is brinin g the BUS down is when the message appears then don't turn the key off, instead unplug one thing at a time until the message goes away, then you have found the thing thats brining it down. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Elizabeth!

Engine wont turnover

If what you're trying to say is that the engine will start when you turn your ignition key to the 'start' position but then quits as soon as you allow the key to revert to the 'run' position, that's exactly how our 2000 Caravan is sometimes acting this winter (earlier, in warmer weather, the symptom was that the starter sometimes would not run in the 'start' position).

I'm still researching possibilities (since the van, while worrisome, still always eventually runs), but my current suspected culprit is deterioration of the contacts in the ignition switch (you can find references to this kind of intermittent switch behavior in Web searches, which is how I happened upon your question). I'll try to get back here later to say how things worked out for us and with more detail on how to replace the electrical portion of the switch if that's indeed the problem.

96 cadillac deville wont start

Try what Wyatt says ..put key in ignition . turn to on position for about 15 min. Turn ignition to off (not lock). then turn on and start. This will override the theft ignition system , and maybe allow the system to reset itself. let the car run for about 10 min

2001 Kia Sportage, has stopped running it will not start, replaced alternator, and fuel pump is fine and have to use key to get out of park, any ideas?

use a strap type oil filter removal tool and try to turn front pulley with engine in gear(manaul) these vehicles of this year do suffer from the keyway wearing away on the crankshaft allowing the timing belt to move this in turn allows the valves to hit the piston ,hence alkternator appears not to charge as the pulleys are turning .wouldnt be the first time i have had this happen its about three vehicles this end ,later models have a deeper keyway so they are ok

I have got an error message saying "Steering Lock

well it has happened to me quite a few times and all you need to do is when it comes take the key out, put the key in but dont turn it, youll hear it trying to unlock, pull(turn) the steering wheel to help it unlock. when it releases should have no prob. its not a malfunction just need to assist it as with many cars that have steering wheel locks.

2005 S40 wont start. Message says key error?

Do you have the remote, i.e. The deadlock system is activated and deactivated using the remote control key fob, which allows the driver to open the car as they approach. It seems you have activated the steering lock which is for preventing thieves to make a getaway. Use the remote to deactivate it and then try starting the car.......sodeep
P.S. The security system is a built-in feature of this model
