Follow factory specs by the book, and every 15,000 miles have mechanic check( it's a plug near the firewall.

2004 porsche cayanne turboe valve adjustment

Most vehicles including Porshe V8 have hydraulic valve lifters, only early 911's had mechanical lifters as I recall, was a pain to adjust every 20K or so. If you are hearing a tap, it is probably stuck valve lifter, try Lucas Oil Additive to unplug it and free it up.

Good luck, FREE-PPV

I have a 2005 porsche cayanne that when you start it up has a yellow light comes on looks like a i or!

As stated in your handbook under "warning symbols" this is a general warning light which is basically informing you of a message that needs to be addressed by accessing your menu messages. It's located on the end of the arm with the rocker switch and another switch right below it. Navigate through the menu to find "warning messages". Here you'll find what needs to be addressed. Hope this helps.

if the body shop painted the door jams, there could be paint in the latch ,making them stuck ,or if it was in a collision the electrical harness could be damaged ,or stuck locked
