Question about 2005 Peugeot 405
My 207sw ran out of petrol yesterday, got 5l can full then tried to turn it over and it wouldn't catch then the battery went flat and now there's a loud clicking from under bonnet when I turn key
Since you ran out of fuel, it's possible your car pulled sediment at the bottom of the tank into the system. I would recommend changing the fuel filter. The clicking noise is due to the battery being 'flat'. You need to charge it, and depending how quickly it went flat after trying to start (if it went flat after a few minutes of attempting to start) I would have the battery checked for it's condition, as it may be time to replace it. In the US you can get a free check of the battery condition at parts stores, with the battery in or out of the car, not sure about where you live though. Good luck, let me know what you find.
