Question about 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
There is a control module under the driver's seat
The electrical connection at the underside of the seat maybe melted. There is a main power feed and ground feed....right next to each other, (another GM brilliant move) and the ground wire can melt inside the plug and lose contact.
To fix the problem:
Reach under the seat at the plug and move the wires around while someone holds the power seat switch backward and the seat should move up and you can see the plug and wires.
Next unplug the seat wiring from the floor wiring and look at the plug
What you can do next is cut the red and black feed wires (the thick 10 gauge wires) and make a new connector and join them up by adding some wire to each and soldering them in place.
If that does not work then your power seat control module has blown. Go to your local junkyard and get a replacement out of a junked Tahoe

There a few things that could be going on with the seat.Does the seat for starters look as if it is going beck and forward at the same length on both sides or sort of one side ahead of the other. This could be caused a weak motor or the cables that control the tracking of both sides bonding on one side or the other. there are other issues but to go deeper you would have to
