Question about 2005 GMC Sierra Denali

Open Question

I have 2005 GMS sierra 1500 with CD stuck in and won't come out.

Is this fixable by the average person, can I replace it with an after market radio without worring about additional features built into the truck such as the chime sounds or other problems?

I have run into this problem many times on your particular type of radio. I have worked in a gm dealership for years. Sometimes we can reprogram them and they work better, but all will eventually need replaced. The cheaper option is to have an aftermarket radio installed, for the price of a new factory radio, you could have a much nicer aftermarket unit.

I have a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 and it has a factory CD/Radio Bose system. The radio works fine but can't get the CD player to work, it won't eject or load a CD. I recently had an ignition fusible link prob...

you might have to take it to the dealership to have the radio reprogramed. it should only cost 40 bucks. these radios are very tempermental and have a mind of their own sometimes. My profesional recomendation would be to have an aftermarket cd player in. they are much nicer and have way better quality than the factory radio's
