I have a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan and the power rear door has never opened in the winter and now it is refusing to lift by itself at all. I have had it to the dealers about every year and they say there is no adjustment on the safety overide for additional pressure to open it. I don't believe that it was made with no adjustment.
Need HELP!!

That model does have the gas shocks if i remember right. they may need to be replaced. also locate the relay for power door it may possibly be sticking. i agree with the assessment of there being no overide on the safety device due to product liability.

it is in the fuse panel on the side of the dash as you open the drivers door,between the door panel and the very left side of the dash that is facing out when the door is opened,hope this helps.
I never thought about this before, it may be normal on some vehicles. I have been able to lock/unlock my 2003 without the key in ignition since it was new.
Look for contacts at door jamb & door, that mate when closed.( usually round metal piece) Take a piece of fine steel wool & scrub them and see if that cures it.
You may have already checked this but there is a switch located close to the overhead button that will disengage the door buttons for child safety, is that turned off?
