Question about Nissan Pickup
if you hear noise comming it at the gears mentioned, the noise is coming from inside the transmission and it is probably the bearings. Replace the grease with synthetic of the same grade and see if the noise lessens. It is probably going to be the input shaft bearing and that would require removal of the transmission to replace it. You are probably looking at $600 if it is just the bearing. Remember the cost is really labor since the bearing is not too difficult to replace if you have a press.
