Question about 1998 Buick LeSabre
I got a 1998 buick lasabre it wouldnt crank so i checked the stater an the battery come to find out it was the ignition switch bought the switch and got the locksmith to come out and cut me a key with the chip in it and the car still want crank the sercurity light keep blinking and the car want crank please help
Sounds like you have a ignition cylinder problem,i have pulled the steering wheels off of your type of car and other gm cars with the same set up,and have found the wires going to the cylinder either rubbed through or broken,i would suggest takin it to a shop, unless tou want to remove the air bag and wheel yourself,be careful, hope this helps

Tips for a great answer:
The ignition switch is not the part with the key. it is a series of connections that are lower on the steering column.
