SOURCE: 1994 Lincoln T/C Transmission

The transmission might bolt in, but the flywheel/torque converters are different. The transmission mount is the same. The part #'s for the rebuild kits are also different. It is basically a gamble if you haven't bought it and can compare them side by side. The computer may not like the later model even if you get it all bolted in. I wouldn't do it.

How do I remove a vss on a 1994 Lincoln continental with a ax4s transmission

It attaches like a speedo cable used too. It just has one bolt holding it clamped into the trans tail shaft, LH side, with a plug on it instead of a cable. If you jack the rear up high, you may not lose any trans fluid. either way, check trans fluid level when you're done and make sure the plastic gear is the same color (number of teeth).

I have a 1994 Lincoln Mark Vlll.when it shifts into 4th gear,it starts to **** when I press on the gas lightly

Replace transmission filter and fluid. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE FILTER. 11 IN LBS MAX. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN TRANSMISSION NOT SHIFTING IN THE VALUE BODY.

Im trying to find the location of the sensors on the automatic transmission

The shift solenoids are in the transmission attached to the valve body. You will have to remove the transmission pan to gain access to the solenoids.

I have a 1994 Lincoln Contenental. Car drives just fine in first gear but will not shift into second gear.

If it is an automatic check and make sure that you have enough automatic transmission fluid in the car to little fluid will not allow the transmission to shift.

Mech or Elec overdrive

According to Haynes Auto Repair Manual, section on automatic transmissions, the 1994 Towncar has the AODE transmission
Baumann Electronic Controls website
URL: http://www.becontrols.com/tech/ch1alphabet.htm
has following:
The Automatic Overdrive (AOD) transmission was introduced in 1980 as Ford's first four-speed automatic overdrive transmission.
The AOD-E transmission is essentially a beefed-up electronically-controlled version of the AOD.
If this doesn't answer your question, you might troll around the website.
