The answer is YES...
Hyundai’s 100,000-mile powertrain warranty is non-transferable to used-car owners; it’s only applicable to the original owner.

Once the car leaves the original purchaser, the second and subsequent owners have a five-year/60,000-mile — from the manufacturing date — warranty.
Hyundai’s bumper-to-bumper coverage is transferable when the car swaps owners. It’s good for five years/60,000 miles

You have to call and ask, I understand that the warranty remains in effect after the vehicle is sold

Is the 10 yr powertrain warrinty transferable to a second owner

Hyundai's 100,000-mile powertrain warranty is non-transferable to used-car owners; it's only applicable to the original owner. Bummer, good-day!! Once the car leaves the original purchaser, the second and subsequent owners have a five-year/60,000-mile - from the manufacturing date - warranty. call dealer for details.

Hyundai Sonata 2006 - Check Engine light came on.

"Fuel system too lean at idle". It's an air/fuel ratio that is not correct, possibly a vacuum leak somewhere. Or a leaky exhaust pipe. Could be related to intake manifold gasket. Somewhere, air is getting into the engine.

I suggest taking it back to the dealer under warranty. I think Hyundai is 10yr./100k for the original owner. 5yr./50k if not. Ask first if covered, and ask why not id not covered.

2007 Hyundai Elantra AC Problem

The basic warranty to your Sonata is 5 years or 60,000 miles, If it's just low on R134a and needs to be recharged. that will be a cost to you, but if there is a problem like a expansion valve that has gone bad or the a/c compressor going bad. That cost will be there's, you can call around to see how much it would cost to recharge your system or you can complain to the dealer since if you are loosing R134a. There must be a leak in the system and that should still be covered. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

All 6 CD's are stuck inside of the CD player. When I try to eject them it turns off.

Have you contacted the dealer? That problem is covered under your bumper to bumper warranty which is 4 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes first. 4 years from the original date of purchase. If you are not the original owner and do not know the purchase date, you can call your nearest dealer and give them your VIN number and ask for the in-service date. However if your vehicle has over 60k then it doesn't matter anyway. On that vehicle the radio/cd changer unit probably has a broken or worn gear that loads, shuffles and ejects the cds. Unfortunately if you are out of warranty, you'll either have to find a radio shop that specializes in factory head units, or have it replaced at the dealer. That is all you are going to be able to do. But definitely check the warranty situation right away, because knowing when your warranty expires is very valuable.

Sun visor on driver's side won't stay up or all the way down. 2006 Sonata the sunvisor will not stay up or all the way down. It just flaps back and forth, I have to put double sided tape on it for it to...

If under 60,000 miles, take it to the dealer for replacement - free of charge. Both sun visors on my 2006 Hyundai Sonata did the same thing and had them both replaced, but now out of warranty and driver's side has done it again so I'll have to pay to have it fixed. Looking for a used one online now. I guess this is just a defect in that particular model.

Sun visor on driver's side won't stay up or all the way down. 2006 Sonata I have the same problem with my 2007 Sonata driver side sun visor broke and will not stay up but keeps droping down in my view....

I have a 2007 Sonata and the driver's side sun visor broke. I called the dealership where I purchased the car, and was told that they only cover it for 5 years/60,000 miles. So if your's is broken, get it in there before the warranty expires. Otherwise the cost is around $80 for the visor unit.

Headlights for 2006 hyundai sonata

Answer
1. Remove the dust cover from behind the bulb that needs replacement.
2. Unplug the bulb.
3. Taking note of the bulb orientation, unhook the bulb retaining clip from the tang that holds it in place.
4. Remove the bulb.
5. Install the new bulb in the same orientation and clip in place.
6. Reconnect the electrical connector to the bulb.
7. Reinstall the dust cover.

Alternatively, if the bulb is burned out and you have less than 60,000 miles, you should take the car to the dealer and let them do it for free for you.
