Question about 1996 Honda Accord
Started coming on for while after car ran for few miles and warmed up. Had new brake pads fitted - problem persisted. Took it to local dealer who advised their machine could not "talk" to on board computer and advised i would need a new on board computer so that they could then assess why the abs and hand brake lights were on. Took it to 2 electrics companies who couldn't get their machines to connect with on board computer. have been advised could need new modulator (very expensive) ir could be loose wiring which could be checked when they disconnect modulator. Have just been advised to disconnect battery and then reconnect which may reset the problem. car runs perfectly. any suggestions?
Hi, have you managed to solve the problem yet?
I have a similar problem with my Accord too!
Any info would be helpful, even if it is to say you weren't able to fix it at all...

Try to locate the break centering switch. Should be able to follow lines to it. Look under reservoir then just follow lines until you find a small black box with wires coming out of it. Your mechanic should have reset this when he replaced pads...but does not make him bad because he didn't. Sometimes the it requires cleaning also; :)
