Possible issue with security system? There is a central security module that can ground the horn relay. If the security system is the problem you can get it fixed, correctly or clip the wire that allows the central security module to ground the horn relay. I don't know if clipping that wire would have any adverse effects, if so splice the wire back together. Use your best judgement.

1992 ford e-150 getting no juice to the coil. what could be the problem?

Some of the vehicles have an Ignition Relay that goes in between the Ignition switch and the coil.

It used to be that the wire from the Ignition switch to the coil was all you would have.
So your relay is probably in a Powerbox, and may be the same part number as the Horn relay. If so, you can use the Horn Relay to get the vehicle started.

What wire ( yellow or blue ) powers the horn on a 1981 Ford F-150

The horn button supplies a ground to the horn relay.Start by pulling the plug at the base of the column, see if you can get a ground on one of the pins from the column when you pus the button.Or find the horn relay, and do the same test from there. You should find 12v on one on the relay socket pins,a ground on one(this will be the wire to the horn)and a ground on the 3rd pin when you press the horn button.

Under the hood in the fuse box. The lid for it should have a diagram on the inside. It'll tell you which one is the horn relay

I need the horn fuse number for ford explorer 2002 4.o liter

The fuse for the horn (horn relay) is in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment (see picture below). That fuse in in the number 28 position (see other picture below) and the horn relay itself is located in the number 47 position. This information should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you need an owners manual for your vehicle you can email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with your make, model and year of your vehicle and what you need and I will be happy to email you a copy and don't worry no cost to you. I hope this helps you and good luck. Here's your pictures:

2001 f-150 ford pick up truck . horn will not work

Did you check the fuse for the horn ? Engine compartment fuse panel, fuse #7, 20A

You can pull the horn relay, and jumper the normally open contacts to see if the fuse, horn and grounds for the horn are in working order ( this operates the horn without needing to use the horn button ).
The Horn relay is a half size Ford ISO relay in the engine compartment fuse panel ( check your owners manual to locate relay 206 ).

Diagram to jumper the horn relay, with this in place, the horn should sound as long as the jumper is in place

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

My horn isnt working on my 2002 zx2 ford , the fuse is good. in

Check the horn relay, it is located under the dash near the fuse box. I believe it is on a white box. You may need to purchase a new relay or there could be a problem with the horn button in the steering wheel/column. Check relay first.
