Question about 1995 Ford Taurus
Will drive for awhile and it will start to drop in speed, push down gas pedal and will pick up speed when the pedal is 3/4 down and the rpms are up. Let off pedal and when it shifts back it acts like it is struggling again. When it does this the exhaust smells really bad.
If you have alot of miles on it then the cat converter is probably plugged. First check your air cleaner and fuel filter, they are affordable. Converters get plugged after 50k but can go to 150k..all luck on our parts. Hope this helps.:)
