Question about 1998 Honda Civic
I can't find the I orifice tube but I keep getting told different things about it. One person told me of was on my dash board and another told me my car didn't have one. So I need to know if I have one so I can fix my a/c.
You have an "expansion valve" which does the same job as the more common "orifice tube" most other cars have.
Is the compressor running but you do not have cold air?
Then you may need one.
Is the compressor not running when the A/C is turned on?
Then look for a low level or no refrigerant in the system,a bad compressor and/or a system electrical problem.
The high pressure cutout switch on/in the compressor is a common problem if the compressor will not run with a fully charged system.
