Check the fluid level first. If that is ok, then it is time to visit your friendly transmission service person.

Check your transmission fluid level when engine is warm. Replace or clean your transmission screen. Take the car to a service center who don't sell transmissions for this work such as Jiffy Lube or Pep Boys.

Why does my 2002 dodge truck have no power in first or drive by alot of power in second

It sounds like the trany is slipping in the other gears whitch is typical of a bad trany. Youcould add the Lucus trany stuff and see if it helps but you probley need a new trany.

Need to fix the slipping on an automatic transmission

change the trany fluid and filter. get some lucas transmission treatment and put it in before you put your trany fluid in. after all fluids are in and everything is together start the vehicle and hold foot on brake and go through the gears it might slip a lil the first 5 min of driving or until fluid works through trany.

My 1992 wrangler won't roll at all. It starts fine, and stays running but when I try to put it in gear it stalls out. Even in neutral, I can't seem to push it to get it rolling. Any suggestions?

This sounds bad, even in neutral it stalls, you cant even push it. i would start by putting the transfer case selector in neutral and see if it rolls, if this jeep is only two wheel drive then start by jack the front wheels up and do this for the four wheel drive also, this is to see if its in the trany or the wheel, check and see if you can spin the wheels in the front, if this is two wd then if the wheels dont spin then you have a problem with the brakes but what concerns me is that it stalls in neutral, i would have to say the problem is in the trany and if this is a stick shift trany i would say the clutch broke and will not release but when its in neutral it should roll. anyway do the same in the rear wheels, jack them up and see if the wheels move, if they dont then remove the driveshaft at the rearend and then see if the wheels move. if the wheels turn with shaft off then theres a problem with the trany oor transfer case if its 4wd, if its 2wheel drive then its something in the trany, if the wheels dont spin with shaft off then start truck and see if it still stalls but dont let it go into gear with driveshaft off you will not be able to stop driveshaft when disconnected, just see if it stalls in neutral. good luck.

Hello.. Before being able to diagnosis the problem the info that is stored in the computer about the check engine light needs to scanned and posted here. After that I am sure someone can put you in the right direction.

Trans makes rattleing noise when its in any gear rev. and drive ,it quits whe put back in park or neu

It sounds like the trany is on it's way out. It might be the torque converter. At any rate the trany will probably have to come out. Does the trany seem to work good, shifts good, no slipping? There is another posibility it could be a loose heat shield on the exhaust pipe rattling. Have some one you can trust check it out.

95 ford windstar 3.8 v6 transmission, no 3rd gear

First thing is to check the fluid level in the transmission, most vehicles have to be running at engine operating temp either in P or N, check your owners manual. Assuming your fluid is where it should be, that vehicle you have sorry to tell you are notorious for transmission failures, by what you described looks like your going to have to replace the trany or rebuild it, either way its not a cheap fix. My advise if the van is in really good condition put a used trany in it and trade it in for something else. You can look anywhere online about customer/ owner feed backs on 88-98 windstar vans and how bad the transmissions are on those Ford didn't get smart till 99 or 00 when they redisgned the drive train. If you keep driving it the way it is the trany will completely fail leaving you on the side of the road somewhere.
