Visit the autozone.com website and register the vehicle. It doesn't cost anything and you will have access to an online repair manual for the vehicle. The steps for replacing the water pump should be available there. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Sorry. I misread your question. I don't know if the steps for replacing the washer pump are available there or not, but I will stick by my advice regardless. It's a pretty handy resource if you are going to do some maintenance work on your car. Again, sorry for the mix-up and I will try to focus better in the future. I was going back and checking my responses when I noticed that you were talking about a different component. Best wishes.

Wher is the ignition control module located in a jeep grand cherokee lorado

6 or 8 cylinder? Either way the computer (ECM) controls the coils. 6 cyl has a 'coil rail' and 8 cyl had individual coils on each cylinder. There are crankshaft and camshaft sensors that tell the ecm when to fire each cylinder

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport that I beleive needs the washer fluid pump replaced and am seeking advice on where it is located and how to replace it.

the washer pump is located in the bottom of the washer bottle.if you remove the bottle disconnect the washer hose and electrical plug.most of the pumps you just pull it out of the rubber o ring that seals the pump so the fluid won`t run out and holds the pump in place.

Have replaced several parts for my jeep and it still wont start what could it be have replaced battery plugs and wires and water pump it acts like its not getting gas but it has gas and the gas pump is...

First I would make sure that the lug wires on the distributor are correct. Sometime when replacing the wires is is easy to get them crossed. Below is the firing order on both engines for the Cherokee. I have also had the module go bad before as well. Below is a diagram which calls this module a camshaft positon sensor. Hope this helps. 800d646a.gif

Looking for the proper firing order diagram for a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Firing Order 4.0L 6 Cyl = 1-5-3-6-2-4
Firing Order 4.7L V-8 = 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

For more details check the repair manual: Section-08d-Ignition-System-Ewj8d (page 21 / Ignition Timing).

Good luck (remember rated this help).

2000 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 liter engine timing belt replacement

If you have the same pulley arrangement that most 4.0 engines have that pulley is an idler not a tensioner. Your power steering pump has a pivot bolt, and a slide under the pump. You adjust belt tension using the pump.
