Question about 1997 Buick Skylark
I have a 1997 buick skylark custom and yesturday it wouldnt start so i changed the fuel filter(sounded like no gas getting to engine)it started up and drove fine. Then today i went to start it and it cranked over but didnt start. After removing the new filter to see if gas was coming out there was none.Put back on new one and it started but very rough and let it run for at least 10min shut it off and restarted it went inside and came back out about 15 min later and would turn over but not start. i am stumped as to what this could be if you have any suggestions at all it would be great.Thank you
I too have a 97 buick skylark custom, that hasn't been cranking. Heres what I have figured out so far, so you may have the same problem. Heres the first question - Is the theft system light flashing when you try to crank the car? Cause if it is, it means the car isn't wanting to recognize your key as the correct key which is causing the car to go into tamper mode which disables fuel to the engine, in which case you have to turn the key back to the start position and wait for the light to stop flashing then try to crank it again.
P.S. i'm not sure why this other thing would be a problem but i lost my gas cap right before this started happening and someone told my that might trigger the sensor, do you have yours?
