Question about 1982 Ford F 250

82 F250 Tail lights out

I have a 82 ford f250, with a 460 engine. When I got the truck The tail light wires were cut when I went to check the lights. I have hooked all the color coded wires back together which gave me my turn signals and break lights. The tail lights do not come on with the head lights as well as the side running lights on the front of the truck. Could anyone help with this issue.

Dash and tail lights are not working on my 2000 ford f250 , what can it be?

I would check the fuses first. As far as the dash, if the fuse is good, you might want to observe the wiring harness and check for a bad wire. Check around the fuse housing to the dash. As far as the tail lights, if the bulbs and fuse are good, check the wiring harness. Check carefully around the bulb sockets. If it checks out, go ahead and check the rest of the wires. You will need a voltage meter to check for current.

2001 F-250 SUPER DUTY TAIL LIGHTS WIRING DIAGRAM

THE TAIL/MARKER LIGHTS, GO FROM THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH TO THE REAR FOR THE TAIL LIGHTS & TO THE FRONT FOR PARKING OR RUNNING LIGHTS. ALL THOSE LIGHTS ARE ON THE SAME CIRCUIT, { BROWN WIRE } THE BRAKE & TURN SIGNAL WIRES GO FROM THE STOP LIGHT SWITCH & FROM THE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD SWITCH. NO RELAY IN THE TAIL/PARK CIRCUIT. CHECK THE FUSES WITH A GOOD FUSE TESTER.

check all fuses not just one labeled tail light. also if it has or had a trailer hitch look at were the wires were hooked up for trailer lights a most common cause of rear lighting problems

No tail lights

look for a blown fuse in your engine compartment fuse box. if you dont find one there then check the fuse panel in the dash under you column. it could be one of the larger feed fuses in the engine compartment fuse box so dont overlook those.

Ford f-250 taillights wont work bulbs new everything else works??? 1999 model checked fuses

check the rear whip, usually right under the bumper where the left side and right side come together,un-tape everything and check the brown wire and connection,if looks green with corrosion then cut it and re-solder it and seal with insulating wire wrap or shrink wrap tube---its for the tail lights or parking lights

My 1995 Ford f 250 bad fuse problem

look for a short to ground in the tail light circuit. Place a 12v light bulb in place of the fuse. If there is a short, it should light. When you find the short, the light will go out. Looks like the brown wire is the focus.

96 f250 circuit, don't have 95. similar. please rate as fixya if this helps.

Tail lights and interior lights went out goin down the road. It blows the fuse right away when you turn them lights on. but head lights still work. Tryed a new switch that didnt help

sounds like a short in the wire that goes to these light only try to check the wires with a test light ,also see if you can find any cuts or nicks on the wires that go to these lights.good luck
