Question about Honda Accord

1 Answer

I have a 2004 Accord, V6 with navigation system. It has about 48k Mileage on it and runs great. Here is my problem with this car; If I start the Engine and allow it to be fully syncronised (all the dash board lights off) and attend to put on the ac, it will only come up with Fan blowing and no proper cooling, the compressor will not pick. But if I put on the ac as soon as I start the engine, the compressor picks and it cools ok. Pls what can be responsible for this strange behaviour? I have tried to contact few techs, the latest i have is that there might be leakage somewhere. Your help is appreciated to point me in the right direction to proceed.

My 2004 Honda Accord V6 will not start. The security system indicator is flashing.

Hi there:

If it is a factory security system there is no unlock code. They either need to get a new battey or a jump, they can unlock the car with the key.

When they jump it if the horn starts to honk they can lock and unlock the drivers door with the key to turn the alarm off.

When they do get going the radio will be displaying code. If they do not have the code with them I may be able to help if Honda's site is up for codes today. Here is how they can get the serial number needed from the radio assuming it does not have navigation:

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Maintenance required light just came on and I have

1. Turn off the engine. The car should not be running when performing these steps.
2. Press and hold the select/reset knob. This knob is located on the instrument panel. It will be sticking out on the bottom right of instrument panel. It's the same knob that is used to reset the trip mileage or change what is displayed in the mileage/temperature box.
3.While holding the knob, turn the ignition switch (the key) to on (II) position. Continue holding the knob for approximately 10 seconds. The MAINT REQ'D light should turn off.

I just misplaced the Navigation System Code for my Honda Accord 2004 with Vehicle Identification Number IHGCM66844A090143. I will appreciate if you can assist me to get the navigation system code back so...

you may be able to contact the original selling dealer they should have it on file, also if you still have your maitenence journal it might be in there. the worst case would be taking it to the dealer and having them remove the unit and getting the serial number off of it so they can get the code for you

Navigation system

Unplugging or rebooting won't solve the problem. Call Alpine Electronics. They are the manufacturer of the Navi System. They will replace it for about $160. Check their website online for their phone number.
