Question about 2003 Ford E150

Open Question

I have a 2001 Ford E-150. The fan works on all speeds, however I only get air out of the defrost vents. Is this due to a dirty cabin filter or faulty switch? I have already changed the blower motor and resister.

Can you hear the blower motor running ?
Could be a dirty cabin air filter, or blower problem, or blend door problem. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and evaporator core as well as the vents.
If you have not replaced the cabin air filter check your owners manual on how to check it.

Why is all the air blowing through the defrost vent only

Either the door that controls the flap that either sends the air through the defrost or the regular outlet is stuck or not working. Some of them work off of a cable and others work from vacuum. Not sure which the ford escort uses but usually you are able to hear the flap move when you go from defrost to regular cabin vent. Or possibly the air duct hose has come off that sends the air through the cabin. Good Luck and hope this helped a little.
