I have a 1997 VW Jetta 3 CLX. I run out of petrol in the car much faster than I used to do before. I fill up, and travell less than I used to. The same distance I used to do by 1 full tank I now do it by at least 2 full tanks. What could be the problem and the solution to it please?

Change the Engine speed sensor. This can sometime cause your dash to do all sorts of weird things when they fail, such as setting the low fuel warning off as well. strange but true ! good luck

you may have a blown fuse. check that first and if none then i would suggest taking to a pro and having a scan on it. could be a sensor.
