2010 grand caravan transmission making noise that sounds like the rotors. Also driving about 65 mph, acted like it lost the gears. Pulled over, turned ignition off, back on, acted like nothing happened..

What you are describing could be the rotors. If they are wearing badly and affect the ABS then the vehicle is not going to run correctly because the abs tells the tcs that there is a problem. Have the brakes checked right away.

ABS & brake Wobble in Cherokee front end

I am not familiar with your ABS as to how it is fed to the brakes but I am pretty sure I know what you are talking about. It sounds like your ABS is activating which is in my case the wheel hub. You will notice a wire harness coming down to your wheels and where that attaches is usually where the problem is. (problem being if I am correct when you brake you are getting a rapid pulsing rather than a smooth brake)

you have wheel bearings failing
the random abs light is the rotor for the sensor touching the sensor head because the wheels are loose on the shaft

Check Engine Light came on, Auto Zone say ECU is the code that came up and could have to do with the ABS system. Does this make sense? When I brake car shakes a lot but just had new brakes put on and...

The ECU is the engine computer, The ABS has its own light and codes. I would not think there would be any relation?? So what is the CODE? If car (steering wheel) shakes while braking the front brake rotors are warped.

I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. There is a "violent" vibration that occurs only when you are going 40-60 MPH and you hit a bump or pot hole on the highway. The front end begins to...

Vibration from about 40-60 mph is usually attributed to wheel balancing, but the onset when you hit a bump seems to indicate play in the steering linkages (tie rods etc) or suspension members and stabiliser bar rubbers but you had that all checked out, that brings us back to the wheel balancing.

1999 Jeep-violent shaking of steering wheel when braking at 55 mph and then stops when speed lowers to say 40 mph. Only on highway, not streets. When first happened, installed new rotors and brakes, but...

1. out of balance tire because it sounds speed spacific.
2. worst of all! Loose lug nuts or possibly loose spindle nut. (you will need to lift the wheel off the ground to tell)
3. worn linkages i.e. ball joints, steering linkage, anything that would allow play in the front wheels.

got ABS.
is it the ABS tripping off, doing its modulation thing>?
i have a remote stethoscope with mike that allows me to
hear noises moving, $50 tool.
if not up to buying tools, then get car serviced.
noise moving is hard to find.
and very dangerous to those that dont have tools to do so. safely

we can not hear noise here.
we can make 2000 guesses, sure.

shut down abs and test? again.?
(on safe no traffic side roads)
can be bad wheel bearings (wild useless guess there)

the first step is to find the LOCATION .
then we'd have something, and is pretty easy to find with tools.

sounds like it time to have the front end balljoints inspected. Only with an inspection will you get the proper results. Why guess, this is a safety issue.

My 97 jeep grand cherokee makes a chirping sound under front

The noise and the light may or may not be related. The noise may be the wear indicator on the brake pads touching the rotor (they are supposed to do that when brakes are worn) The abs light triggers off a wheel on the axle end. If you have a bad joint on the axle, it could be noisy and causing the wheel to not have the proper clearance to the abs sensor. You really need to take the wheel and brake assembly off and carefully inspect everything. Make sure all abs sensor wires are undamaged...it doesn't have to be at the same wheel that's chirping.
