If factory ordered the holes should already be there however assemble the support rails onto each step side panel the align the rail to the frame and insert bolts after the back or front is installed even with a level on it and drilling a hole for the bolt being careful there is nothing to be damaged from drilling a hole such as wires or brake/fuel lines drill the hole and insert bolt the tighten them up same for the opposite side

Need to know where the IAC sensor is located on a 2004 150 5.4


4.6L, 5.4L & 6.8L Engines
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the accelerator control splash shield.
  3. Remove the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the throttle bypass hose.
  5. Remove the mounting bolts and the IAC valve.
  6. Installation is the reverse order of removal. Tighten mounting bolts in two steps:
    • Step 1: to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm)
    • Step 2: an additional 90°

After filling my fuel tank, gauge does not go to full....it takes a few days or hours for gauge to read full


There is a TSB on high sulfur fuel usage, and how it impacts the fuel level resistance.
If you change fuel, it might start working again. The TSB is : ERRATIC FUEL GAUGE OPERATION TSB 08-2-9

ISSUE:
Some 2004-2008 F-150 and 2006-2008 Mark LT vehicles, built before 12/3/2007, may exhibit erratic fuel gauge operation or illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0460 or P0463, and/or Instrument Cluster Module DTC B1201. This may be caused by sulfur contamination in the fuel causing an open or high resistance in the fuel level sender.

ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

Well the cam kit is needed because from the factory just put bolts in the upper a frames without any adjustments so you have to buy the cam kit so you can change your caster and camber for better tire wear and better drivability the average cost varies I'm sure for where your at but where I'm at it would cost about $45-$50 a side for the kits plus labor to install the kits its kinda spendy the first time around but after that all you have to do when you need an alignment is take it in and get it adjusted.

My 2004 f-150 lairiat shifts hard when I step on the gas it feels like the transmission is going to drop out the bottom.


You should get it to a trany shop right away. It most likely a simple fix, if you continue to drive it like that you are going to wreck something.

Changing front brakes on my 2006 ford f150


I have had to replace mine on my 2004 model, I normally will use a block of wood with a clamp. the block of wood protects the inside of the caliper and twist the C-clamp until it is flush in the Brake caliper. Install your new pads and re-assemble, duplicate for the other side. after you have done this, start the vehicle and step on the brake pedal several times, this insures that the brakes will set against the rotor. you can purchase a haynes repair manuel at your local parts store for your 2004 Ford F-150. these books have step by step information with some illustrations that will be benifical in completing your desired repairs of replacing your rear axle seals..hope this helps you. chris
