Pull the fuses and check one at a time to be safe that it's not them.

Where is the headlight relay in the 1998 jimmy? Low beams won't come onat night everything else does. high beams work

There is a headlight relay in the engine compartment fuse box, but its after the headlight switch and before the dimmer switch, so it powers both high and low beam circuits.
I would check the dimmer switch.

After haveing a aftermarket radio installed, the low beam headlights and the brake lights dont work. The high beam lights will work if the high beam switch lever is held on.

Could be a wire behind the radio. I had a Camaro that had no dash lights after an aftermarket radio was installed. Almost never found the problem. And the company that installed the radio would not admit to causing the problem....even though I had a detailed description of the problem from the tech that fixed it. Wish I had better news for you.

I have a 96 jeep cherokee. What is wrong when only the high beams work. Replaced the bulbs it didnt fix the problem. The switch on the steering wheel that turns on the brights clicks on and off it doesn't...

some had a headlight fuses check all fuses.if okay then the dimmer switch itself could have a problem with the low beam side of the switch.the dimmer switch is located on the steering column at the base of the column near the firewall.if you put your hand on the top of the column under the dash, and operate the lever you will feel the rod that moves the switch and follow the rod to the switch.then check the switch to see if power is coming out for the low beam side.if its okay then you may have bad headlight relay which is located in the relay box.

I have 2006 grand prix and the bright lights wont come on. I move the blinker lever forward and the low beams stay on but i get the blue bright light on the dash, checked fuses all seem to be okay

do you hear the click of the dimmer switch when you move the lever if you do then the steel rod that goes from the lever to the switch itself is working and the switch is moving from the low beam to high beam circuit.if the blue dash indicator is on them power is coming out of the switch to the dash to operate the light.its possible that the dimmer switch may need to be adjusted a little if you don`t hear the click but moves enough to put the dash light on but not enough to turn the high beams on,that is possibly why the low lights stay on.or you have a bad dimmer switch itself

A blue dashboard lights up and resembles a bullet . . . .what could be wrong with my car or maintenance might it need? (89 chevy corsica)?

Good Evening, a blue light on your dash has been an indicator that the bright lights are on. There is nothing wrong, just simply turn them off and use your low beam lamps by moving the dimmer( turn signal) switch.

No high beeam

It may be two seperate issues that you are having. If you know that the high beam bulbs are good, check the head light fuses if it applies to your truck, then finaly the dimmer switch itself If all of those things are good, you will need a wire diagram to trace the wires for a open. As for the lights on the radio not working, you didn't mention whether or not any of the other lights in the cluster and dash were on. If they are not on along with the radio, check your fuses. If the rest of the lights are on then the problem may be a internal problem with the radio itsself.

1994 ford f-150 with day time running lights headlightnot working

Daytime Running Lamps
The daytime running lamp (DRL) system is designed to turn the high beam headlamps on, with a reduced light output, and without illuminating the high beam indicator lamp in the instrument panel. You have a DRL Module.
The multifunction switch is the stalk on your column.

This is 96 F150 circuit. Don't have 94.

No High Beam but have Low Beam

that is a fuse under dash near the radio, hard to find and you will probably have to go to a dealer, we had same problem, changed hi-low switch and that didn't work
