Possibly the sway bar links. Those do twist when the wheel is turned either way. You might get under it and push up on either one to see if there is excessive movement. Good luck.
Check your battery for a hole or, the caps blown off
try another good battery
your battery supplies power to your whole car if it fails nothing works.
to save money lock the car manually if you can ;if it won't be towed and, look at the battery tommorow
a shorted battery can explode "pop" if it shorts out; it should be easy to see.
if you are handy you can remove and, replace it yourself

I won't be able to check this until the morning. I really hope its as simple as you suggest:) Would the defect in my battery cause my whole car die? Could I jump start it get to a mechanic? or should I have it towed?
