Change cylinder 1 and 6 coils and all the spark plugs

2000 ranger missfires on number6 , runs good over 2000 rpms


It's still misfiring. The engine is running to fast for the computer to pick it up. Pull the plug wire on 6 , start the truck. look for spark out of the wire. No spark, replace the coil pack. Spark, pull the plug,see if it is fouled out. I would do a compression test also, while the plug is out.

If the check engine light is on there will be OBDII and manufacturer specific codes. These codes start with a letter and are followed by four numbers (P0304 for example). These codes can only be read by an OBDII code reader or a scan tool. These are the codes you need to get in order to start trouble shooting your vehicles problem.

OBDII Codes 2006 Chevy 2500HD w/ 6.6L Duramax "Truck started losing power when warm, when cold for the first 10 miles or so the trunk runs great."


You need a dealer, there is a real problem going on here, way over the head of any home do it yourselfer. The main reason is the special tools required to interface with the control modules that are throwing these codes

I have dual fuel insignia. When it runs on petrol I get error code P0301 "sylinder 1 missfired, when it runs on LPG I get error code P0172 "system is too reach bank 1" it runs rough,also it goes to limp...


First of all never spay a MAF sensor with parts cleaner, you just damaged an expensive sensor, never touch the element with you fingers. You have done a lot of expensive part changing without stating your original problem. you have no recourse now Except to scan the OBDII stored fault history to see what happened and go from there When diagnosing driveabilty problems, start with the cheapest fixes first (OBDII scan free at Autozone)

Engine skips when accelerating and runs fine at idles and top speed


If you feel the engine missfire on acceleration, you could have a weak spark plug and/or plug wire. If you have not replaced them in over 30,000 miles I would start there.

I replaced my camshaft and crank shaft sensors and the car ran fine but then started running rough sparadicly what is the problem


You should go to autozone, they will let u borrow a scan-tool for free to pull the codes from the OBD-2 comp. If there is a misfire- there will be a code, even though the check engine light isn't on. It's simple- just plug the tool into the connector attached to the bottom of the dash under the steering wheel, then turn the key to the " run " position ( not start ), the hit the link button on the scan tool and it will retrieve the codes

2003 freeland code p1319 , misfire code po301,po302,po303,po304, misfire at idel, high speed drive fine,


OBDII those codes generally mean misfire.

P0300 multiple missfire
P0301 missfire cyl 1
P0302 missifre cyl 2
ect.

Ensure you have the proper spark plugs. Check the coil boots/wires, look for burn marks. Anything beyond that you may have to take it back to the shop.
You are misfiring on all 4 cylinders and it is not spark plugs. Those misfires if not addressed can cause serious engine and/or cat converter damage. There are lots of things that could be causing it and most of them need to be checked out at a shop - unless you want to invest several thousand dollars in the appropriate equipment and training.

you may try your rotor button and distributor cap. and spark plug wires. try your map sensor also they tend to cause a lot of misfiring if they go bad.hope this helps.

take of the fuel filter and blow it out. i had the same problem with a 2008 ford f150 5.4 v8.
