    it is not the ignition switch no fire at all every thing is doing it's job but no fire from coil to distributor

Remove the ignition module and take to your local parts store for testing. It should be located on the side of your distributor were the wire harness plugs in. This will fix it 90% of the time.

    One more thing you can try. Have someone crank the engine while you are checking for spark and see if you get fire just as they let off the key. If so it could be your ignition switch. Just one mor ething to check- good luck.

    Also check the pick up coil in the dist. this is what tells the module to do its job. This will require pulling the dist to change. You can check the one in the dist with an OHM meter while still in place. I don't have any specs for you , but I normally just compare the readings to a new one. The parts stores will let you do this, as long as you don't install it and keep it clean so they can still sell as new.

crankshaft position sensor is bad. it uses this sensor to tell the computer when to make each plug fire. no signal no fire.

means that your oil is not working to give you the output power to ht leads and then to spark plugs. you have to replace it,

1990 taurus wont stop turns over fine. it has i rplaced coil and dist cap it has fire gas good

Sounds like the MAF sensor isn't working. you can have spark and fuel but with out the car knowing how much air is coming into the motor it won't start.

check ignition fuse. if ok, possible is the ignition module. make sure to have the correct replacement part number.

Does it have a TFI module on the distributor. A local parts store should be able to test that for you.

have you tried checking the coil? or the ignition control module on the side of the distributor...the coil is cheap but you may what to check the junk yard for the others.
