Question about 2001 Chrysler Town & Country
Put new battery ran for 5 mins and now wont start waited 20 mins and started with nosie and stoped again do you think it maybe the alternater
It sure sounds like a bad bearing in the alternator by your description. Back off the tensioner pulley just enough to remove the belt from the alternator. Hang the belt to the side with a piace of twine or a bungi cord. Turn the pulley on the alternator, it should turn freely and quietly. If it makes ANY sound at all or feels hard to turn it must be replaced. While you've got the belt loose turn the remainig pulleys and wiggle them to check for play. Change any idler or tensioner pulley that makes any noise or has play.
